Project Synopsis

The Linux Threat Analysis project was undertaken to address a shortage of study material for analyzing victimized Linux-based machines. Usually, Linux-based machines are used for security investigation anaylsis and Windows-based systems are the victim machines getting attacked. The project was to provide WelTec courses with educational material that could be used in assessing the forensics skills of cybersecurity students. The associated disk images, memory dumps, and pcap and logfiles are available on Digital Corpora, a global respository of similar datasets.
